RLA So Charming is a registered 2009 flashy black half welsh pony available for lease. He is just under 14.2 hh (14.1 3/4hh) and chunky. We are looking for a place where he can be in a program and showing. He must be shown in rated shows and ideally would like him to go to pony finals. He is currently at a college barn, so there are no junior riders (that can do jumpers) that are eligible to take him to pony finals. He has been showing in hunters and jumpers on the local circuit and he excels in the jumpers. This is a pony for someone looking to win. He ALWAYS comes home with champions and the occasional reserve. He is fast, careful, scopey, and handy. He is currently competing against the big horses and has no problem beating them. He CAN add or take out strides as needed in a line. He knows how to open his stride, picks his spots (can help his rider out of a jam), and has auto lead changes. Just point him to where he needs to go and he will clear it with room to spare on all sides. He has jumped 3’6” triple oxers and can clear 14 feet of ground. He STILL has tons of scope to go. He has also jumped 3’ bareback and bridleless. He has also been ridden and jumped sidesaddle. He does have a brain on him and has done lots of extracurricular activities. ;) He has been on tons of trail rides and loves to swim in the ponds. He rides bareback on the beach and swims in the ocean. Has jumped logs and brush out in the pasture and can be ridden bareback with a halter and leadrope. He has also been ridden in traffic. He can do lead changes down the arena, counter canter, back up, extend and collect his strides and is starting to learn to sidepass. He was also high point jumper of the year this last show season (his first year of showing). He was up against all the giant warmbloods, thoroughbreds, and Arabians with more years of show experience. He must go to a home where he will be shown and we will consider a home where he can be evented. If leased, he has to have insurance. We are asking only $2400 for his first year lease to an approved show home. It is very low so that it can be affordable to a talented rider looking to win in the jumper ring and give our pony rated show experience. If you fall in love with him, his sale price is $35,000.
